Meet the Photographer
Tyra Burgess
Hi, I’m Tyra Burgess — a 23-year-old stay-at-home mom to my sweet 2-year-old and the heart behind the camera. I’m based in Eagle Mountain, Utah, where wide open spaces and beautiful mountain views constantly inspire my creativity.
Motherhood has shaped the way I see the world — and the way I photograph it. I understand how quickly time moves and how important it is to capture the big milestones and the small, in-between moments that mean the most. My passion is preserving memories that you’ll look back on years from now and feel all over again.
When I’m not behind the lens, you can find me soaking up the outdoors, listening to music or podcasts, and spending intentional time with the people I love most. Creating meaningful memories — whether they’re loud and exciting or quiet and simple — is at the core of who I am, both in life and in photography.
Tyra's Photos
Tyra’s Photos didn’t start with fancy equipment or a big launch — it started with borrowed cameras and a dream.
Six years ago, I fell in love with capturing moments. I didn’t even own my own camera at first — I borrowed what I could, learned everything I could, and practiced every chance I got. I was determined to grow, to improve, and to turn something I loved into something real.
After a couple of years of borrowing gear and building my skills, I finally invested in my own camera — and that was the moment it all became official. Not just a hobby. Not just “for fun.” But a vision I was ready to chase.
Becoming a mom two years ago gave that vision even deeper meaning. Watching my own child grow has reminded me daily how fast time moves and how powerful a single photograph can be. The tiny details, the in-between moments, the milestones you never want to forget — they matter.
Tyra’s Photos is built on persistence, growth, and passion. It’s proof that you don’t need to start big — you just need to start.
